Dr. Alfredo Axtmayer is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with over 40 years of experience in his field. He graduated from the Yale University School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedics at Yale-New Haven Hospital. After his residency, Dr. Axtmayer has practiced at Midstate Medical Center, Yale New-Haven Hospital, San Juan V.A. Hospital, and the Hospital of St. Raphael. He has also held multiple teaching appointments at the Yale University School of Medicine, Yale Foot and Ankle Clinic, and the Quinnipiac University School of Medicine. Dr. Axtmayer has served as the Connecticut state representative for the New England Orthopedic Society and remains an active participant in orthopedic societies at the local and national levels, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and Connecticut State Orthopedic Society.
