Dr. Cheryl Cottrol is a board-certified physician, residency trained in both neurology and psychiatry with extensive clinical experience and a strong academic background. She completed her undergraduate training at Yale University and her Medical Degree at the SUNY Upstate Medical Center. Subsequently she obtained a Master’s Degree of Public Health from Columbia University School of Public Health. Her Residencies in Psychiatry and Neurology were completed at NY Presbyterian Medical Center and NY Medical College respectively. She has held various academic, clinical and research appointments at Yale School of Medicine, Pfizer Pharmaceutical, and in her clinical practice. Dr. Cottrol has contributed significantly to research on TBI and neurodegenerative changes as well as PTSD. She is active in professional societies including the American Academy of Neurology and the American Psychiatric Association.
